Eye camp in a village
In 1994, I traveled to a village near a city for my work, where I learned that an eye camp was being organized.
I visited the camp on the day it was held and saw many elderly women and men being screened and identified for cataract surgery. One elderly woman shared that although she had three children, none of them were able to take care of her.
She said that the Lions in the area had given her the gift of sight, and she spoke with great gratitude about their service.
Hearing her story deeply touched me, and at that moment I was inspired to join our association.
