GIFT GIVING THAT TOUCHED HEARTS
In every community, some moments shine brighter than others – moments bring people together in laughter, hope, and kindness. One such event took place in Tamaoyan, Legazpi City, where the Legazpi City ‘Host’ Lions Club PMJF organized a heartwarming gift-giving and feeding program for 79 children. It was a day filled with love, generosity, and joy, a day that the children will surely remember for a long time. On the day of the program, the venue was filled with cheerful and excited children accompanied by their parents or guardians. 79 children, ranging from preschoolers to young school-aged kids, eagerly gathered for the event.
The highlight of the day was the gift-giving ceremony. Each child received a bundle prepared with care and thoughtfulness: a soft stuffed toy, a pack of milk, slippers, and other essentials. Stuffed toys were more than just playthings – they were symbols of comfort and affection. For children who may not own many toys at home, hugging their very own stuffed animal brought immediate smiles and twinkling eyes. Some of the children clutched their new toy tightly, as though they had found a new best friend. Packs of milk represented nourishment. Children were reminded that their well-being matters, that there are people in the community who care about their health. Each gift, though modest in size, carried a deep meaning of love and care.
FUN AND GAMES THAT SPARKED JOY
No children’s celebration would be complete without laughter and play, and so the Club also organized parlor games. These games turned the venue into a playground of excitement, cheers, and friendly competition.
The children participated eagerly, showcasing their energy and talents as they ran, jumped, and laughed. Winners received small prizes, but more importantly, everyone who joined in felt the joy of being part of something special.
