World Lions Service Day

Lions, Leos, guests and the whole community of Calabar Metropolis converged to celebrate the World Lions Day 2022 with the theme “Service first; Together we can” on October 8, 2022.

Lions, Leos and guests arrived the muster point, Effie Ette at approximately 7am and there was an awareness walk ”Leovangelism” from the muster point through Marian, Ibrahim Babangida way and Ekong Etta. The walk concluded at the Lions park at about 10:12am.
During the awareness walk several fliers and educational materials were given to the general public to educate them about Lions Club and their service areas. Calabar Unique Lions family conducted free medical check up for about 1,000 people. There was a health talk session and medications were given out to those with health conditions.

In attendance was the Region 4&5 Chairpersons Lion Ekpe Nta PMJF, NLCFand Lion Anthony Olanikpekun MJF NLCF respectively, Leo Esther Esua, LAH NLEF Leo district 404-A2 president, Leo Jackson Bassey, Region 4 MGA T25 Director Leo Franka James, T25 Associate Region 4 Director, several lions, Leos and Guests.

Indeed it was a great outing.
