This initiative helps pupils from Valencia Central Elementary School spend more time playing outside during break time to drive myopia away. More GREEN time, LESS screen time.
This Sight For Kids and Myopia Prevention project was organized by the Dumaguete City Host Lions Club, in collaboration with the Fred Hollows Foundation through NegOr Provincial Eye Health Team.
Our local independent artists, who worked tirelessly to make this significantly and meaningfully beautiful, did this pathway painting successfully. Thank you, Dr. Frances Hope Yap, for connecting us to Vincent Lopez of Mugna Gallery, a very passionate person who coincidentally was looking for ways to help the community through art.
Excellent and healthy collaboration and connection will always be beneficial to our community.
*This special event was organized in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Sight For Kids program, co-founded by Lions Clubs International Foundation and Johnson & Johnson Vision.
