There wasn’t much we could do in Connecticut but watch with dismay as parents waited to hear if their children were alive. This event has changed people forever. Raising money was important, but we thought that people who have lost hope might need some words of kindness from strangers, which is the reason we handed out index card sized sticky notes for random shoppers to offer their messages of hope and inspiration.

We are very proud that LCIF sent out the message to clubs across the country/world about the relief funding they supplied. Adding a few more dollars to the effort seemed like the right thing to do.
