SO Talkshow: Women and Girls Rising through Sport
Singapore, 25th March 2026. The Lions Club, through Trustee Eveline N. Chandra, was invited by Special Olympics Asia Pacific and Wood Mackenzie to join a workshop and talk show presenting the topic on Women and Girls Rising through Sport. The intimate evening, which embraces the International Women’s Day 2026 theme “Give To Gain”, was held in Wood Mackenzie Asia Pacific Pte Ltd office in Singapore.

The talk show highlights how Special Olympics is making positive change by breaking down barriers for women and girls with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) across the Asia Pacific region. It emphasizes how investing in them creates a ripple effect of empowerment, inclusion, and equality that benefits entire communities.
At the end of the session, James challenged the audience to move from talking to taking action by knocking just one door and multiplying the initiative into a wave of impact around the world.
