Road Safety Project: Kampala Host & Wakiso Host
On 15th March 2026 the Lions Club of Kampala Host undertook a twinning project with the Lions Club of Wakiso Host together with the Leo Club of St. Augustine’s College on Road Safety at Namusera, Wakiso District, Uganda, under the theme “Respect Our Roads, Save Lives.”
The 2 Lions Clubs signed an MoU for future collaboration.
We painted 2 Zebra Crossings, had a sensitization ride through Wakiso Town, Uganda
Also, we distributed 100 reflector Jackets, 120 car stickers with clear messages on road safety, such as “I pledge never to Drink and Drive,“ „Drive Safely to Live as you Drive,” etc.
We weren’t just painting zebra crossings or distributing reflector jackets; we were taking a stand for life, for safety, and for the future of our communities.
