Project Antipara 2.0

In alignment with Lions Clubs International’s global cause – Vision, the Batangas Saudi 101 Lions Club proudly launched Project Antipara 2.0, a targeted initiative under the club’s broader Oplan Kabayan program.

This vision care outreach program aims to address visual health issues among underserved Filipinos, particularly overseas workers and their families, by providing free eye check-ups and prescription eyeglasses to those in need.

During the recent Oplan Kabayan outreach, 40 individuals were screened and diagnosed with various forms of visual impairment, including bifocal needs. Following the assessment, 18 beneficiaries received free prescription eyeglasses, granting them the invaluable gift of clearer vision and a renewed sense of confidence and well-being.

The eyeglass turnover and distribution ceremony was honored by the presence of OWWA Administrator Atty. PY Caunan and MWO-ERO Welfare Officer Ms. Laureen Musa, whose support emphasized the significance of public-private collaboration in advancing health and social welfare for Filipinos overseas.

Project Antipara 2.0 exemplifies the Lions’ unwavering dedication to sight preservation and vision care—one of the five global causes of Lions Clubs International. It reflects the club’s mission to serve with compassion and commitment, responding to real needs through impactful community-based healthcare initiatives.

As the Lions continue to lead through service, Project Antipara 2.0 stands as a testament to what can be achieved when civic organizations, government agencies, and compassionate individuals come together to serve.

Lead to serve. Serve to lead. 🦁
