Playing Unified to Celebrate « Mission: Inclusion »
As Lions Clubs leaders from throughout Europe gathered to celebrate the 2022 Lions Europa Forum in Thessaloniki, Greece, another celebration was being planned concurrently- underscoring the critical global leadership that the Lions Clubs International Foundation and countless Lions Clubs and Leos have offered to communities throughout the world. With the Europa Forum in full-swing, Special Olympics Hellas (Greece) athletes from Thessaloniki suited up for a Unified Table Tennis event as part of a unique celebration to mark the 20th Anniversary of the Special Olympics- Lions Clubs international Foundation “Mission: Inclusion” global partnership! Lions Clubs volunteers from Thessaloniki, visiting Lions from a range of nations, and Special Olympics team members joined the effort, cheering on the athletes and Lions participants and celebrating in the transformative power of inclusion through service- that “Mission: Inclusion” has embodied and exemplified for over two decades.
