MT. KANLAON DISASTER RELIEF OPERATION
“Bacolod City Host Leo Club and its mother club Bacolod City Host Lions Club joined in the initiative of VMA Global College and Training Centers, Inc. where they stands united in service and compassion! “💙
Together with the VMA’s Executive President and as well active member of Bacolod City Host Lions Club Lion Dr. Remedios Johanna S. Vargas with Lion members, and under the leadership of Mr. Chester John Ferrer of the Community Extension and Development Office; who is also the President of Bacolod City Host Leo Club with his Leo members, we successfully conducted a relief operation for the families affected by the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon.
This initiative was made possible through donations of VMA Global College community and volunteer work from Bacolod City Host Lions & Leo Club such as distribution of personal hygienic supplies – alcohol, facemask, soap, used clothes and such others. Feeding the evacuees, and games that gives the children a smile in their faces despite of the current situation.
The relief efforts reached the evacuation centers at La Carlota South Elementary School 2, City Gymnasium 1, and La Carlota North Elementary School, bringing much-needed support and hope to the more than 1,000 affected families.
