Puerto Princesa City Royal Lions Club kicks off service efforts with empowering initiative for young learners
On March 15, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, the Puerto Princesa City Royal Lions Club joined forces with co-sponsor Cavite ASMEPPS 103-A LC represented by CP Celia Rasing and ASMEPPS President Cab Sec Eloisa Olivera , Cabinet officers from District 301A2 and Lions Clubs in Puerto Princesa to launch a meaningful community program at Puerto Princesa City Pilot Elementary School. This marked the clubโs first service activity, held just one night after its official Charter Presentation, with a mission to support 100 pupils in their educational journey through holistic well-being initiatives.
Activities and Donations
The morningโs program was designed to address both physical health and practical needs of the students:
– Zumba for Diabetes Awareness: An energetic morning exercise session to promote fitness and educate learners about managing and preventing diabetes.
– Lunch Kit Distribution: Each student received a durable lunch box and spoon-and-fork set donated by Cavite ASMEPPS 103-A LC, complemented by biscuits courtesy of DC Lilibeth A. Du.
– Hygiene Kit and Footwear Distribution: Personal health kits to encourage cleanliness were donated by GST Cecille Asprec, along with 100 pairs of slippers to provide comfortable footwear for daily school commutes.
The 100 participating school children expressed immense gratitude for the support, their faces lighting up with joy as they received the donations. The initiative reinforces the Lions Clubโs commitment to uplifting communitiesโone student at a time.
