Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation’s Vision Impact
The Louisiana Lions Eye Foundation (LLEF) is transforming vision care in Louisiana and beyond. Through the Carl and Beulah Landry Baldridge Endowment for Sight, LLEF supports local vision clinics, eyeglass recycling and education with LSU’s School of Ophthalmology.
With 39 clinics statewide, LLEF has provided eye exams and glasses to over 216 patients this year and is on track to exceed that number. Their partnership with the Lions of Mexico helps donate 60,000 used eyeglasses annually.
The foundation’s children’s vision screening program has screened over 40,000 children this year alone, surpassing previous records. Through the Sight For Kids program, LLEF has provided vision care to children in need, improving access to care for over 150 kids.
