HUNGER SERVICE WEEK
District 321 C2 successfully organized a *Hunger Relief Drive* with great enthusiasm and commitment, focusing on the Lions Clubs International mission of serving humanity. The drive was conducted during *Hunger Week*, wherein various clubs of the district actively participated to combat hunger and support underprivileged sections of society.
The primary objective of the Hunger Relief Drive was to:
* Alleviate hunger among needy families and children
* Create awareness about hunger issues in society
* Encourage active participation of Lions members in humanitarian service
* Strengthen the spirit of service and fellowship among clubs
During the Hunger Relief Week, multiple clubs under District 321 C2 carried out impactful hunger-related activities, including but not limited to:
*Distribution of cooked food* such as khichdi, meals, and refreshments to needy people, daily wage workers, patients’ attendants, and homeless individuals.
*Dry ration distribution*, including rice, wheat flour, pulses, oil, sugar, and basic grocery kits to economically weaker families.
*Food packets distribution* near hospitals, railway stations, temples, schools, slum areas, and construction sites.
*Special programs for children*, including distribution of nutritious food, fruits, milk, and biscuits in government and low-income schools.
*Community kitchen initiatives*, where clubs arranged mass feeding programs with the help of club members and donors.
Each participating club ensured proper planning, hygiene, and dignity while serving beneficiaries. The activities were carried out with full adherence to Lions values of compassion, service, and integrity.
* Hundreds of needy individuals and families benefited from the hunger relief activities.
* The drive helped in spreading awareness about hunger eradication and social responsibility.
