Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine
Glenside Lions have donated $10,000 to Ukraine to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by the war.
There is a humanitarian crisis. The fighting has impacted schools, hospitals and orphanages. Homes have been damaged or destroyed. Medical supplies are running low and millions of people are without access to safe water.
More than 4.3 million children have been forced to flee their homes. 1.8 million people have become refugees, searching for safety in neighbouring countries.
UNICEF is trucking safe water and prepositioning health, hygiene and emergency education supplies to the most vulnerable children and families.
