Helping During Hurricane Henri
In MD20 NYS, LCIF helped us build a warehouse and fill it with emergency supplies. We were also able to purchase two trailers for supply transportation. When Hurricane Henri came up the coast, one of our Lions came to the warehouse and filled the small trailer with supplies to aid in the communities that were affected. Long Island was lucky and the supplies were not immediately needed but they are still there until hurricane season is over. LCIF has enabled us to quickly support our local communities in times of disaster. We are still finalizing our systems but just knowing the supplies are here and available is such a relief in this time of increasing number and severity of natural disasters.
