Greening Dhaka Century: Leo Tree Drive
In a commendable environmental initiative, the Leo Club of Dhaka Century organized a Tree Plantation Program at Sugonda Housing, Alamnagar, Hemayetpur, Savar, under the guidance and support of Ln. Jahangirnagar Alam Jitu, President of Lions Club of Dhaka Century and Adviser to the Leo Club.
This greening effort is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness in local communities. A total of 40 trees were planted by the active and enthusiastic members of the club during the campaign.
The tree plantation drive witnessed active participation from dedicated Leos including:
Leo Jannat Rahman Anannia, Leo Kanan Faysal, Leo Mahia, Leo Mila, Leo Mithila, Leo Prohor, Leo Alve, Leo Kona, and Leo Sawda—each of whom contributed passionately to making the event successful.
Speaking on the occasion, Ln. Jahangirnagar Alam Jitu emphasized the importance of involving youth in environmental stewardship, noting that “each tree planted today is a promise of a greener tomorrow.”
The Leo Club of Dhaka Century continues to inspire young changemakers to take tangible steps in addressing climate change and community welfare, echoing the true spirit of “Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.”
