Free Diabetes Screening & Awareness Program
On 15th September 2025, the Leo Club of Dhaka, sponsored by the Lions Club of Dhaka, organized a Free Diabetes Screening & Awareness Program in Dhaka, aiming to promote early detection and health consciousness among local citizens.
With the kind permission and guidance of our respected Club Advisor, Ln Afsar Hossain, the Leo leaders set up a health awareness booth in a busy community area. The campaign offered free blood sugar testing and basic health guidance to pedestrians and local residents. Within just a few hours, the team successfully screened over 70 individuals, providing them with instant feedback about their diabetes condition and sharing preventive lifestyle tips.
Beyond direct screenings, the campaign also drew attention from many passersby, sparking valuable conversations about maintaining a healthy diet, regular exercise, and the importance of medical check-ups. To extend our reach further, the club shared highlights of the event on social media, where the post received over 300 impressions, amplifying awareness beyond the physical campaign.
Our initiative was highly appreciated by Ln Anisur Rahman, the President of the Lions Club of Dhaka, who praised the young Leos for their dedication and community spirit.
