Flag-off of Solo Rider Lion Amit Thapa
Solo Rider Lion Amit Thapa, Charter President of Lions Club Kathmandu Prayasnagar (MD 325 Nepal, District 325 L), continued his inspiring goodwill journey from Lucknow to Agra, marking another important milestone in his long and purposeful ride from Kathmandu to Ahmedabad. This unique journey is part of his larger mission to participate in the 53rd ISAME Forum 2025 in Ahmedabad and to personally invite Lions across India to the 54th ISAME Forum 2026, which will be proudly hosted in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Traveling on his motorcycle across international borders, Lion Amit Thapa’s expedition represents much more than physical endurance. It is a powerful symbol of cross-border fellowship, unity in diversity, and harmony in service, reflecting the core values of Lions Clubs International. His journey highlights the shared commitment of Lions to the Global Humanitarian Cause, with special emphasis on the vital role of LCIF (Lions Clubs International Foundation)in supporting humanitarian projects that transform lives across the world—ranging from hunger relief and disaster response to healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability.
A special flag-off ceremony was organized in Lucknow by District 321B1, where Lion Amit Thapa received a warm welcome and heartfelt encouragement from distinguished Lions leaders. The ceremony was graciously supported by District Governor Lion Dr. R. C. Mishra, along with senior Past District Governors, Lion Naveen Jhingran (Cabinet Secretary Events), and several other respected senior Lions leaders. Their presence reflected the deep respect and admiration for Lion Amit Thapa’s mission and the spirit of unity that binds Lions across districts and nations.
Adding further grace to the occasion, the President of Lions Club Lucknow Shaan-e-Awadh Diamond, along with the Secretary and Treasurer of Lions Club Lucknow Century, were also present to extend their support and good wishes. The gathering became a strong demonstration of Lions fellowship, where leaders came together with one common purpose , Service to Humanity.
During the ceremony, the leaders appreciated Lion Amit Thapa’s courage, dedication, and visionary approach. With ceremonial honors, warm blessings, and the waving of flags, Lion Amit Thapa was formally flagged off from Lucknow towards Agra. Carrying the goodwill, prayers, and encouragement of the Lions fraternity, he continues his onward journey to Ahmedabad to participate in the 53rd ISAME Forum 2025. At the same time, he carries a heartfelt invitation to Lions across India and beyond to come together in Kathmandu for the 54th ISAME Forum 2026, strengthening global friendship, advancing humanitarian service, and reaffirming the Lions’ unwavering commitment to serving humanity worldwide.
