“Everyone can help someone”

A child patient was referred by most of the doctors admitted in a local hospital at Bahraich with symptoms of regular fits with loss of consciousness come to the child and white frothing comes out of his mouth. Doctor gave all the required treatments. Some tests were done, such as e.g. Blood test, X-ray, CT-Scan and MRI and all of these tests were done with the help of Lions Club Bahraich Asha District 321B1. All expenditure including the medicines payment was contributed by Club. The disease from which the 8 year old boy was suffering was none other than brain tumor (Childhood Cancer). The family of that boy was very poor and they can’t afford such a huge sum of money which was required for the treatment. The innocence on the child’s face compelled the club members to help him and his family by providing them the best facilities and the best treatment which could be possible. Immediately with the help of an ambulance took him to Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences Lucknow. All the necessary procedures started at the hospital including COVID-19 report, CT scan, Vision Check-up, MRI etc. The next day when the treatment was about to begin, the doctor asked to arrange two units of blood but his family members were looking so weak and hesitated. Lions Club arranged the blood for the child and made his family stay arrangement and other necessaries requirement. A day or two later, when the operation began they were asked to submit a sum of around Rs 70,000 for treatment, medicines, MRI and many more. The Club members without the knowledge of his family, immediately deposited money at the cash counter. After a long eight hour operation, the boy was unconscious due to anesthesia with more than 10 stitches around his skull. Then the doctor arrived with a smile that operation was successful. All of the tumor which was stuck in the left portion of the brain was removed successfully. Everybody in his family burst with happiness and thanked God wholeheartedly. We the members of Lions Club felt very happy and thanked god that their service accomplished by helping this poor child.
The spark of happiness on everyone’s face really made that day. Then the doctor asked his family to bring the child again for the follow up session after a week.
“No one can help everyone but everyone can help someone.”

It is not a simple story but it is true and real story of Pride.
