Eastern Districts Little Athletics Club
Glenside Lions have donated US$5300 to the Eastern Districts Little Athletics Club in October to help them set up a new computer system to modernize their club administration. This is in line with our club’s focus on youth in our area. EDLA Club hosts a uniquely Australian sport for children aged 3-17 years. It is based on the sport of athletics (track and field) and the events are specially modified to suit the ages and abilities of children. A wide range of training for running, jumping, throwing and walking events are conducted. Little Athletics recognizes that children vary widely in shape, size and athletic ability, and is thus one of few sports that successfully caters to them all. Each year across South Australia, approximately 6,000 boys and girls enjoy the activities that Little Athletics has to offer.
