Concert Handicapped Accessability
After many years of fundraising, the McKeesport Lions Club installed a wheelchair-friendly area and walkway at the Lions Bandshell (that the club built in 1953) to make it easier for anyone wheelchair-bound to enjoy the Summer Concert Series that the club presents each Sunday evening in the summer along with the City of McKeesport and the Regional Asset District. The platform is dedicated to the memory of Lion Tom Kearney, who never let his being in a wheelchair slow him down.
