BUTTER LAMP AND WEIGHING MACHINE DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM
“Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. ”
Leo Club of Kathmandu Tokha proposed and along with other Lions, Leo club organized this program successfully.
The main objective of program is to make them “independent” by their own earning and to ensure to make our service work “sustainable”. We donated butter lamp and weighing machine to 3 families.
After distributing butter lamp and Weighing Machine, we did opening as well. We lighted up 30 butter lamps each on minimum Rs 50 which was “earned” by those people. As like that, on weighing machine, more than 40 participants measured their weight each on minimum Rs 20. Our participants became the first customers of their and opening of butter lamp and weighing machine helps them to “earn” their own money which completes our objectives.
This program is an “example” of new kind of program which believes on act of sustainable project. This program also shows the vision of a new generation.
