During the 13th Lions Blood Heroes Blood Donation Activity, held at Central Park Mall 2 in Jakarta on 25–26 September 2026, Lions Club District 307A1 took an important step in expanding the blood donation movement beyond the traditional donation process. In collaboration with Biotek Farmasi Indonesia, the activity incorporated a blood glucose screening service, demonstrating how medical partners and sponsors can become part of a broader community health and humanitarian service platform.
The screening attracted 370 participants. The results showed that 327 participants (88.4%) recorded normal blood glucose levels, while 35 participants (9.5%) were identified in the pre-diabetes range and 8 participants (2.2%) were identified in the diabetes range. These findings highlight the value of providing health screening alongside blood donation, as participants can gain greater awareness of their health status and the importance of appropriate follow-up and healthy lifestyle choices.
The activity also provided insights into the characteristics of the participants. 256 participants were female and 114 were male, while participants represented a broad range of age groups, with the largest participation coming from the 26–35 age group.
At the core of the activity was myLBH (my Lions Blood Heroes), which powered the administration, participant registration, data management and analysis. By integrating operational processes with data-driven reporting, myLBH enabled the event team and partners to transform participant information into meaningful insights that can support future service planning.
The collaboration with Biotek Farmasi Indonesia also illustrates the evolution of Lions Blood Heroes from a conventional blood donation activity into a multi-dimensional community health platform. Through the involvement of medical partners, sponsors and volunteers, the program creates additional opportunities to deliver preventive health services while strengthening public engagement with Lions‘ humanitarian mission.
The 13th Lions Blood Heroes activity therefore represents not only another successful blood donation event, but also a growing model of collaborative, technology-enabled and community-centered service, where blood donation, health awareness, medical screening, partnerships and data-driven insights come together to create broader social impact.
