(HUNGER RELIEF PROJECT – “MISSION THAR”) GIFT OF SERVICE FROM THE HEART – IP DOUG ALEXANDER’S BIRTHDAY

Pakistan,
As you all are aware that Multiple District organized a Hunger Relief Project under the banner of “Mission Thar”. This service project from Multiple District was a Gift of Service from the Heart to the IP Doug Alexander on the occasion of his birthday. This project was in line with the decision made by team APforVP to celebrate the birthday through a Service Challenge “Hunger Relief Service Project”.
I am very delighted to share that this Project was a huge relief in an area which is grossly deprived of many basic necessities of life which we all enjoy very well. Total 810 families benefited from this project for which I would like to thank each & every club & individual Lion members who came forward and donated generously towards this noble cause.
My special mention goes to all the three District Governors, Lion Wazir Hussain Sahito, Lion Abdul Rehman & Lion Dr. Masoof Ghani Raja for their untiring support. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank DCS N1 Lion Farooq Yousuf who travelled all the way to be with us & DCS S Lion Abdul Rehman who unfortunately has to travel back from Thar early due to a death in his family.
I am also greatly thankful to the following clubs who stepped forward and donated generously for the cause. I am also pleased to announce that we will send the Appreciation Certificates to the respective DGs with a request to honour the clubs/individuals in the most befitting manner at an appropriate forum.
