After surviving childhood cancer with support from the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) and Texas Children’s Global HOPE program in Uganda, Desire turned her experience into action. Now a passionate advocate and Leo Club member, she supports other families facing cancer, proving that with help, survivors can become change-makers.

Pharmacy Saves Lives

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) together with Texas Children’s Global Hope Program is helping transform cancer care in Africa. With the funding of a state-of-the-art pharmacy in Kampala, Uganda, healthcare workers can now safely prepare life-saving chemotherapy, protecting staff and providing safe medication for young cancer patients.
