The Lions Club of the Lodi province, (Lombardy Italy) Lions District 108Ib3, have purchased a refrigerated van for the transport of food with an investment of approximately 80,000 dollars, of which $ 41,175 thanks to a grant from the L.C.I.F. The service launched in 2021 has already helped more than 270 families.

The refrigerated van allows the daily collection of food surpluses from producers, commercial activities and supermarkets in the town of Lodi which are delivered to canteens open to the poor and solidarity shops. The activity of the Lions is carried out in collaboration with the “Community House” foundation.

I Lions Club della provincia di Lodi, Lombardia Italia Distretto Lions 108Ib3, hanno acquistato un furgone refrigerato per il trasporto di alimenti con un investimento di circa 80.000 dollari, di cui 41.175 dollari grazie ad un grant della L.C.I.F. Il servizio avviato nel 2021 ha già aiutato oltre 270 famiglie.
Il furgone refrigerato permette di raccogliere giornalmente eccedenze alimentari presso produttori, attività commerciali e supermercati nella città di Lodi che vengono consegnate a mense aperte ai poveri e botteghe solidali. L’attività dei Lions si svolge in collaborazione con la fondazione “ Casa di Comunità”
