FOOD FOR THOUGHT , TOOLS FOR SUCCESS
Today was a day filled with warmth, smiles, and the incredible spirit of giving at Pacalso Elementary School in Tuding, Itogon, Benguet. Our “Food for Thought, Tools for Success” initiative truly came to life, and it was a blessing to be a part of it.
With 45 dedicated volunteers, we set out to share blessings with 75 bright-eyed kids and 25 adults from the community. The energy was palpable, and every single person involved contributed to making this day a resounding success.
Our activities were designed to nourish both minds and bodies. We started with an important Oral Health Education session, teaching the children the importance of a healthy smile. This was followed by a captivating Story Telling for Kids, where their imaginations soared with every word.
The tangible blessings came next. We distributed essential toothbrushes and toothpaste, empowering the kids to practice good oral hygiene. Then came the excitement of the Lunch Kits, composed of a lunch bag, lunch box, and spoon and fork – practical tools for their daily school life. Envelopes and ballpens were also handed out, encouraging them in their studies.
Of course, no gathering is complete without a little sweetness! The distribution of mallows and candies brought big grins to many faces.
A significant moment of the day was the endorsement of a 20K cheque to the Principal for Library Hub Rehabilitation. This contribution will undoubtedly create a more conducive learning environment for the students, a true investment in their future.
And then, the delicious finale! We distributed 100 Jollibee Spaghetti Packs and Juices, a treat that was met with cheers and happy tummies. The 70 pieces of siopao also quickly disappeared, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Witnessing the joy and gratitude on the faces of the recipients was truly a humbling experience. Every smile, every thank you, reinforced the profound impact of collective effort and generosity. It was a day that reminded us all of the power of community and the importance of investing in the next generation. We look forward to more opportunities to share blessings and make a difference.
