Parents play a critical role in the Special Olympics movement. They not only support and care for their children with intellectual disabilities but also act as advocates, coaches, volunteers, fundraisers, and organizers for Special Olympics events and programs. They help create a supportive and inclusive environment for athletes and provide a sense of community, friendship, and belonging. Moreover, parents’ involvement and engagement in Special Olympics activities usually lead to positive outcomes, including increased self-esteem and confidence for athletes, improved social skills, and a greater sense of pride and accomplishment.
Special Olympics Somalia wishes all mothers and fathers and all of them who are preparing the athletes to participate SO Somalia Events in the country
