Service Activities of District 321B1 on Makar Sankranti Festival
Under the inspiring leadership of PMJF Lion Dr. R. C. Mishra, District Governor 321B1, the district continues to strengthen its commitment to humanitarian service. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti (14–15 January 2026), various clubs of the district organized impactful service activities focused on Food for Hunger and winter relief, truly reflecting the spirit of “We Serve.”
On 14 January 2026, Lions Club Lucknow Abhinandan conducted a meaningful service activity under the Food for Hunger Program, distributing freshly cooked food to unprivileged people at Rain Baseras and nearby areas of Husaria Crossing, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, and surrounding localities during the evening hours.
The activity was carried out with dedication in the presence of Club President Lion Anoop Bahadur, Club Secretary Lion Chandan Srivastava, and club members Lion Dr. Ajai Bahadur, Lion Mridula, Lion Ranjana Srivastava, and Lion Sunil Singh.
On 15 January 2026, Lions Club Shahjahanpur Saheli organized a food distribution activity for unprivileged people at a local chowk on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, an important Indian festival. The initiative was led by Lion Poonam Saith and was successfully supported by Club Secretary Lion Kumud Gupta, along with Lion Aparna Mahavar, Lion Raman Gupta, Lion Padma Gupta, and Lion Mahima Shukla, showcasing excellent teamwork and dedication to service.
Lions Club Lucknow Rajdhani also organized a cooked food distribution program for needy people at Janapath Market, Lucknow. The activity was led by the very senior member Lion Ramesh Mishra along with other club members, extending compassion and care to the underprivileged through hands-on service.
In addition, Lions Club Shahjahanpur Shakti actively participated in Food for Hunger projects during Makar Sankranti. Lion Lalita Yadav of Shahjahanpur Shakti played an active role in serving food to needy people. Similarly, Lions Club Lucknow Cantt Gold contributed meaningfully by distributing food to the underprivileged, with active participation from Lion Pradeep Agarwal and Lion Deepak Agarwal, further strengthening the district’s collective service impact.
These service activities strongly reflect the guiding causes of hunger alleviation and humanitarian focus supported by Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), which empowers Lions worldwide to undertake impactful projects addressing hunger, poverty, and human suffering. Inspired by LCIF’s mission, the clubs of District 321B1 continue to plan and execute service activities that create sustainable and meaningful change at the grassroots level.
The collective efforts of the clubs of District 321B1 during Makar Sankranti highlight a strong culture of service, compassion, and unity. Under the able guidance of District Governor PMJF Lion Dr. R. C. Mishra and with inspiration drawn from LCIF, the district remains steadfast in its resolve to serve unprivileged sections of society with dedication, dignity, and humanity.
